Context

Since 2008, Salon du Vintage has drawn tens of thousands of visitors a year, in Paris, Toulouse, Orléans, Bordeaux and as far as Miami. Yet the whole operation ran on manual exchanges: floor plans annotated by hand, booth requests by email, payment chasing one case at a time. Every new edition meant doing the same work again, and online sales stopped at ticketing.

Solution

A hybrid platform, designed and built end to end. On the storefront side, a bespoke Shopify theme, translated into ten languages, carrying the fair pages, ticketing and marketplace. On the business side, a Next.js and PostgreSQL application: exhibitors pick their spot on an interactive plan where every booth is coloured by category and availability, the organiser tracks requests, quotes and invoices from a single screen, and the marketplace handles sellers, offers and counter-offers, messaging, reviews, commissions and automatic payouts after delivery. Shipping labels are generated without leaving the tool.

Results

Launch day brought over 3,000 visitors and 150 seller sign-ups. More than 200 booths are now bookable online across some ten fairs a year, without a single email exchange. The organiser opens a new edition by importing its floor plan, and everything else follows.
